Children of the Creator, Come...

The old world lies dead. When calamity came pouring from the skies centuries ago, mankind abandoned all that they knew and took shelter within a great tower raised by the hand of god. A new, singular nation was born: the Mosaic.

When the storm eased at last, a new generation opened the gates to reclaim the world their ancestors had left behind. A fleeting age of exploration began. Bright-eyed adventurers flocked to the ruins in droves, and found nothing. Defeated, they again turned their backs on the old, dead world and carried on in the new.

But outside those towering walls, power beyond imagining still waits to be found...

In a desolate town forgotten by the Mosaic, fate brings two strangers together: a frail woman in need of aid and a gentleman happy to offer it. The two set out into the icy wilderness seeking a miracle, and what the gentleman finds is proof that no good deed goes unpunished.

The emotions I went through during chapter 3 WERE INSANEEEEEEEEE OMG

(+2)

ohhhhhh my god. chapter 3 - there's SO much and it's all SO intense. I am being fed like never before!!!

(+2)

What an honor I get to play this game as it releases. Every chapter I eat up like my favorite meal, grateful and blessed. Even if each chapter leaves me desperate for more.

Chapter 3 was a wild ride and I cannot possibly imagine what's in store next. I love this game!!!

(+2)

chapter 3 was so good dude ough im punching the floor everything about this game is so fantastic

(3 edits) (+2)

This genuinely changed me. I am not exaggerating, the emotions were more than I've felt in a very long time. It was shocking and beautiful. And that's only TWO CHAPTERS IN?!

I'm making a visual novel now because of this. Thank you soulsov, absolutely cannot wait for more. I am forcing my friends to read this forever.

BUY THE FULL, IF NOT FOR OUR BELOVED EXALTED GOD AND HER PET THING, THEN TO EXPERIENCE TUTU, AT THE LEAST!

(+4)

I laughed, I cried, I get ragebaited by Ysme. 10/10

(+1)(-4)

The art is nice, though I don't find the demo featured characters to be very interested.

I was interested in the game because I heard there was a large, anthropomorphic alligator .

(+3)(-1)

I'm so captivated by this story so far. The art and characters and the beautifully incorporated moments of  prose are just impeccable. I love it and I can't wait for more!

(+2)(-1)

If you’re all caught up on the Locked Tomb series and are still hungry for catholic themes and horrible women, well… look no further. Feast well, friend.

(+2)

PEAK

(+4)

Played the demo, really, really hoping for a Steam release, it's not possible for me to purchase it here.

The art is absolutely beauitiful and the writing was so warm and captivating, I just wanted to keep reading, which is very rare for me. I'd love to see this story through, it really feels like something special.

(+4)

I've had at least two Soulsov thoughts per day ever since finishing chapter 2. I sometimes wake up thinking about Ysmé. Thank you.

(+3)

Ahh I finished the game and oh my god, this was amazing! I need to give my appreciation so you know what a gem of a game you got here, and for others to know how great it is.

I've been getting into visual novels recently, and yours was always on my radar. I saved up 10 dollars just for it because i knew it'd be great. And it was! The art is splendid, the story is so engaging and intriguing, and the music suits it perfectly! This game left such an impact that it makes me want to tell my own stories in this style. I have fallen greatly in love with this game.

The 10 dollars are so worth it for anyone interested, I promise you wont regret it. I can't wait for the next chapter!

(+4)

There are so so so so many CGs in this game! (saying this for all the potential players). if you like to play things that are art heavy and narratively intense this game is for you! So good so far

(1 edit) (+11)

Finished chapter 2 and hey what the fuck

Can't believe she keeps getting worse but also I feel like I get her a bit more now

No matter how much it may be shaken, I must hold strong in my belief in women's wrongs...

(+8)

i love soulsov its so peak. what i think it does best is how it keeps your trademark sense of humor but saves it for character interactions rather than having the world be absurdist. you have funny silly goofy interactions in the midst of witnessing the horrors its great

(1 edit) (+6)

I was side-eying the 9.99 price for a while for a PRELUDE, but you gotta eat, so I can't blame you. The art is amazing, and there is a special shout-out for the coloring. Atmospheric as hell, just as advertised, and reinforced by the excellent sound design. Worldbuilding is just as interesting as advertised as well. Magic from the language of flowers didn't steer me wrong at all. I know the new chapter is coming out soon, so I'm excited about that.

(+4)

Ahh what a treat. A wonderful prelude to a story I know is going to be absolutely mind bogglingly beautiful.

The art, the music, the world...just the entire presentation made me so hyped and excited about the strength of VNs. I haven't felt like this in a  long while and even though I regret waiting so long to play this, I'm genuinely so glad I'm going into 2025 riding with this feeling. Just knowing I have more of this world to look forward to just gives me some hope. Thank you, thank you. I simply cannot wait but better believe I will for as long as it takes.

(+3)

Oh, THIS. THIS WAS JUST- *Chef kiss* I was giggling like a fool, screaming at the twists and turns. Eating this up- it's so so yummy. What can I say that no one else has already said? Music, art, atmosphere, excellent pacing, the world building, the TWISTS!! AGH I was screaming! Cheering!! I finished the prelude and just let out the most satisfied "ahhh" If you're on the fence about getting it, JUST PLAY IT. I wish I'd paid more. I want merch now. I want key chains, stickers. I want Ysme's face plastered on my wall. Consider me CONVERTED. The clown is God, and I am God's clown. (also me whispering out loud to myself about how fine Loic is every chance I got.) Can I recommend this to all my friends?? My new boss? Strangers on the street? We will see.

(+1)

This was extremely cool and gorgeous! I am so excited for the full release, whenever that will be. I read lady of the shard a long time ago and I was completely in love and inspired by your artistic talent and stories!!!

(+2)

I was gripped from the very beginning. Not only is the atmosphere sublime and the worldbuilding well-done, but there are angles to this that are very appealing to me in very specific ways. Looking forward to more.

(+3)

i had really high expectations for this VN going in as a big fan of ggdg's wonderful art and storytelling, and even those have been blown away by the actual experience. gorgeous illustrations, music, direction, etc. loic and ysme are deeply compelling characters with an intoxicating dynamic, and i'm so rapt by this story and its themes so far of faith, fiction, and power.

(1 edit) (+2)(-1)

11/10 would recommend to passing travelers

The game is so well made, from art to dialog to music, and everything else. Give it a try if you haven't.

(+1)

This visual novel bursts out of the gate with a captivating intro! gg's art is a total feast for the eyes – their use of color and texture is phenomenal, and the way they draw expressions is top-notch. Ysme's in particular is just dynamite, every little shift in her face tells a story. The music? Perfect. The dialogue? Crisp and engaging. World-building? So intriguing, I couldn't put it down. The story throws some wild curveballs, but they landed perfectly, and the humor is sprinkled throughout like delicious seasoning.

Loic and Ysme? Total heart-eyes for both. Their designs are fantastic, and their personalities come alive on the screen. (Seriously, gg, how'd you make a clown so captivating?) Having followed your art elsewhere, I knew these characters were going to be amazing, and they did not disappoint. Every time Ysme made a move, I was like "YAS QUEEN." And let's be honest, who wouldn't fall for a hot dad and a captivating clown?

(+3)

RRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHH NO WAY the GGDG MAKING A VISUAL NOVEL??

(+1)

In Soul of Sovereignty, ggdg will - as they always do - grip you immediately with compelling characters in a compelling world, wrapped in a package of stunning original art characterized by ggdg's masterful use of colour. And now for the first time, lovely music as well! It's a great complement to the novel.

The description tells you all you need to know going into it. If the themes sound interesting to you, you'll see them done justice.

(+3)

I bought this a while back, and finally sat down to play.

I did not expect so many things to happen. Holy shit

(+1)(-1)

What a wonderful start! I'm so excited to see where this story goes, I was absolutely delighted by every aspect of it. To start I adore gg's art, they have such a great eye for shape and texture and use such pleasing colour palettes. And their expressions! Ysme's in particular stood out as one of my favourite aspects of the entire VN. The soundtrack was gorgeous, the dialogue was wonderful, the world building is intriguing, I expected none of the twists and loved every sprinkling of humour within. I adore both Loic and Ysme as characters; I love their designs and their characterization, and I'm so happy to finally see them in context (having followed gg elsewhere and adored these two based on how cool the art for them was). Anytime Ysme did anything all I could think was 'wow, what a woman', and I am down bad for both the hot dad and the clown. Thank you for the prelude, I can't wait to read the rest when it's ready.

one of the most fun storytelling experiences i have had the privilege of viewing! the worldbuilding is fascinating and has me itching to learn more, and i ADORE the characters--they're my favorite part of the entire affair. they're so full of depth and personality (That One Part had me cackling) and i cannot wait to see more of them in action.

(+1)

(pasting my review here since comments are now enabled)

As a long-time fan, I've been excited about this VN for a while (though it did take me a few weeks to get to it) and hoo boy it sure did NOT disappoint. The artwork was stellar (and sexy) and, together with the music and careful choice of words, created a delicious and extremely well-woven atmosphere (I did not expect a singular plot twist and all of them had me gasping so hard I choked on my own spit. Bless). I am in love with all the characters shown so far; they're all so incredible and well designed (my favorite being of course Ysmé she's such an asshole so far yet I forgive her (mainly because she's gay (at least I think so))).

Conclusion: Yeah this game was exactly what I wanted from it. Masterful execution of everything it set out to do; it's got me hooked on everything. Can't wait to see more of the "gang". 5/5

(+1)

update: saw more of the "gang". I love tutu so much i would die for her

(+1)

however, i am rethinking my forgiveness

(+1)

yahoo! soulsov rules!! this vn really is great. gg's art is a delight to behold, and their skill with color is especially wonderful. the writing is intriguing and charming and the characters are delightful. there are a lot of crummy visual novels in this world and this is not one of them. this one is good instead. everyone i know who has played/read soulsov has adored it. if you like fantasy at all, you will enjoy this i think! i am so excited for more to come out.

(+1)

I loved this! The world build is very intriguing and the characters have a pleasing amount of nuance. Very intrigued to see where the story goes!

(+2)

this game is really good and i'm 👀 at what will come next

(+2)

Ive been a fan of ggdg for years now. I've followed them through many projects. This one is maybe my favorite yet. The art is stunning as always but the story really shines in this short prelude. It wasn't what I expected at all- in the best way possible. Worth the price. Worth the time spent reading it. So excited for the eventual continuation of it. Thank you for making this!

(+2)

this was my first visual novel and I enjoyed it so much I'm considering learning renpy so I can have a go at making my own. this is really something special!

(+3)

As someone who's completely passed over VNs and everything in that space, I was slightly apprehensive of a purchase. But as a fan of ggdg and their stellar works like Lady of the Shard, I knew I couldn't miss out on what they were cooking up next. And by god was I right. Even just this prologue has gripped my thoughts, a tantalizing taste of a story I won't be missing out on. Buy this.

(+2)

10 out of 10 pallid women say you should play this game!

The characters, the world building, the artwork...you will be enamored and sucked in and want to know more after you finish it....and get this...there will be more!

(+2)

Really, really enjoyable! Not to mention the absolutely gorgeous art. Lots of fun surprises, and it's only getting started. I am so eager to see where this story heads next.
